My name is Val Tannenbaum, the owner of A2Z Locksmith. I was raised on the Brooklyn waterfront in a “working class” household--and because trouble could come from anywhere, I stayed close to home, spending lots of time with my grandfather in his basement workshop.
He would give me little projects to do, to keep me from getting underfoot, and he eventually re-wired my mind toward things mechanical, and taught me how to work with my hands.
After graduation I enlisted in the US Air Force, hoping to become a pilot and, despite a Congressional Nomination to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy, vision problems prevented that dream from coming true. So I decided to switch my MOS to Security, and security has been my life ever since. Now that I’m thinking about it, I imagine I could have done worse than to start a business where I can help people protect everyone and everything they hold dear. Cutting keys and locksmith work are a joy to me, and when someone is looking for a "locksmith near me", an "emergency locksmith", or even to pop-a-lock.
I have been living in Weston, Florida for 32+ years, serving its residents since 1998 as an Original Genuine Resident Locksmith. We have served THOUSANDS of clients countywide over the years, and having been in business now for 25+ years I’ve met a lot of people along the way.
